It's Thanksgiving, a trully American holiday, where we give thanks for the things in our lives that mean the most to us. Our families, our faith, our friends, our heroes. We all give thanks for these special gifts. I find it only fitting that we at AM go a little deeper and discover the other, perhaps more subtle, things in our lives that we are grateful for. So, in honor of this uniquely American holiday, I find myself giving THANKS for.....

   Our fighting men and women, defending our nation, bringing freedom to the masses, all with the bravery and sense of duty and honor that we ALL need to be thankful for.

  The Missouri Tigers, hopefully the soon-to-be college football national champions. What a hell of a year. Rising from the ashes of obscurity and becoming a power house this year. Let's hope it remains that way. Thank you Chase....thank you Jeremy...thank you Gary. Look out KU, we're skinning the "Chicken Hawks" this Saturday.

  Albert pujols, still the best player in the National League. Kind of an off-year, but his off years are better than most everyone elses best years. A strong community man and it's hard to argue with his first 7 years in the bigs. Can you say Hall of Fame, not putting the cart before the horse mind you.

  OK, would someone please explain to me how this man DID NOT win an Oscar until this year? Hollywood idiots. This man has only had his hands on some of the greatest American films...EVER...Taxi Driver, Raging Bull, GoodFellas. OK how does Raging Bull loose to Ordinary frickin' People for cryin out loud? Trully a travesty of Academy Award justice. Thankfully this year, they finally got it right. This man is a film making genius. Thank you Martin Scorsese, for without out you, my vocabulary would be a lot less robust.

    And, yes, let us be thankful for them. For without the nutbag,the loonie, the bleeding heart,the thumb up their ass, gender-bender left? What the hell else would I have to make fun of? Yes, they are clueless, they are devious, they are funny to look at, and yes, some are traitors. But they do make it fun, and the internet would have a lot less blog sites on it if they were gone. So thank you Jane (traitor), thank you Nancy, thank you one and all.

     And finally, THANK YOU AMERICA. You ARE the greatest nation, and I am proud to be one of YOUR citizens.
