This is just another sickening and destructive chapter in politics... How is it that we can be in the fight of our lives against Al-Qaeda and terror and in the midst of great success in Iraq? Yet a high ranking American leader calls this "Bush's War"? Wuh? No need to read between the lines here. Another flippant comment that undermines our troops and the sacrifices they are making. Another flippant comment by a ranking office to seperate themselves from a difficult issue for the sake of political gain....
These comments were generated by Pelosi and the Democrat Congress out of frustration over the fight on the Energy Bill and the President's veto of the Farm Bill. These scathing words are based on seething anger because of the Democrats gaining zero traction. How shameful that such harsh remarks that affect our troops and their families in the most sensitive manner, flow so easily off the lips of our own leaders????

Your Congress and their remarks are somewhere between "Nanny Nanny Boo Boo" and : I Know You Are But What Am I" ...Childish reactions to difficulties within your party and its plight. Yet your remarks have a lasting affect on our troops their familes and the American pschyce. There are irresponsible remarks made by politicians on both sides of the political spectrum, but too many comments and accusations like these have been made with such disregard to their impact on America. Comments and accusation made with the ease of ordering lunch at the drive-thru. We need strength and resolve and teamwork in governemnt, not selfish grandstanding and hateful speech that reaches far beyond the Capitol.

Earlier this year Senator Lamar Alexander (R-TN) proposed an addition to the Fiscal Year 2008 Commerce, Justice, and Science Appropriations Bill. The proposal would restrict the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) from pursuing civil legal action against employers who require their employees to speak English. The Senate adopted the measure and the House of Representatives followed suit in mid-November, adopting the measure by a vote of 218-186. Thirty-six of those supporting the measure in the House were Democrats.
The vote infuriated the 21 members of the Congressional Hispanic Caucus (CHC). After failing to shut the House down by a vote of 204-184, CHC members suggested they would attempt to block the appropriations bill. Because of the CHC objections, House Democrats delayed a conference committee on the CJS appropriations bill, which will now become part of the omnibus spending bill Democrats intend to pass, according to the Roll Call newspaper.
Now it appears that Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) has capitulated to the CHC and agreed strike the language from the final version of the bill. CHC Chairman Joe Baca (D-CA) said last week that “[Pelosi] has agreed and our Caucus is united. Everybody agrees it was a mistake.” According to Roll Call, he added that he expects the language either to be struck in its entirety from the omnibus spending bill or to be replaced by language drafted by the Mexican-American Legal Defense and Education Fund.

The last one, waterboarding, is a proven technique that works in less than 2 minutes with no lasting harm done to the poor widdle jihadis. Nothing like letting the enemy know and prepare for such things.
