Huckabee's Message.. "What Really Matters"......
By now we have all heard or saw Mike Huckabee's message "What really Matters'. A fine message in its words I must say. There was a big to do about an "oddity"in this message. Behind Mike in the clip was what seemed to be an illuminated white cross. (a book shelf) I have watched this clip over and over and , while it does seem odd it's seems innocent and less than intentional. I didn't see the camera pan to it and stop and make this "cross" stay in one place long enough to be making a statement of any kind. I don't know, and I'm not sure. I would think the camera operator knew exactly what they saw and knew what they were doing and may have said "Let it ride, it's a take.." . But you know.. the more I caught myself spending so much time on this, the more ridiculous I felt. I mean what does it really matter?

Huckabee has made no bones about his religion, he has came from a "flash in the pan" candidate to a bonafide force in the Presidential race. He wears his religion on his sleeve, and truthfully it's kind of refreshing to me. I am a bit leery of many of Huckabee's positions but I do admire his moral energy and his devotion to religion.
The most disheartening thing to me is in the afterwords of Huckabee's message. In that the media were acting as if Huck should apologize for wishing America "Merry Christmas". I can't beleive I live in a time that this is an issue. Apologize??? Do we apologize for Happy Hanukkah? Kwanza? Happy Birthday??? WHAT? Good for Huck for sticking to his wish and his message.
Problem is is that one cannot run on religion in today's day and age. Very shortly the time will come to face the issues that face our country. As for the "floating cross" in Huck's message? I don't know... But at least we didn't have a clip of Huckabee at lunch and see the Virgin Mary on his grilled cheese.
