BaseBall Is Here!!!!

Hey America Matters! I know..I know.... What's with the picture LT? C'mon! 2006??? I know, but hey I am pumped and I am a Cards fan. This is the season, the best time of year. We are shaking off the chill of winter and ready for the warm of spring and all the newness that it brings. It brings America out of the woodwork. Baseball is the sign of good times to come.
We have praised baseball and we have hammered baseball here at AM and many times over. Why? Because we love it. My fellow blogger bud, CG will be the first to tell you that our love of sports is real here and that is why we can get so critical....
Sports is Americana to the hilt. As kids, we've learned life's simple lessons in one hour of play. You give 100%? You get results...and your teammates, coach and parents let you know it. You give less?... Your teammates, coach and parents let you know it. When you drag ass on the field or thecourt? You kick yourself and wait in anticipation for the next game to redeem yourself. When you succeed and make that great play? You gleem proudly and so do your teammates, coaches and parents. It is life. Sports are life wrapped up in colorful uniforms, equipment and all the sights and sounds....Practice makes perfect.
CG I am sure will certainly agree with my sentiment. We both have a love of sports and recognize their importance as a learning tool. I have a seven year old that loves ALL sports. He plays indoor and outdoor soccer. He watches all of the "big three" with me and yet has just as much fun watching golf, boxing, skiing and yes bowling with me...CG? He has THREE boys and all of them play baseball, soccer, and baseketball, I think one may even bobsled or something. I don't know how CG does it. All the practices and games everyday and night...I DO know WHY he does it. Sports are healthy mentally and physically all the way around. There is nothing more rewarding, for kids and parents...together.

With all of the criticism we have laid on baseball with the steroid tragedy (and it is a tragedy). There is good news coming out on this subject. Good news coming from the farm teams, the minor leagues. Baseball is getting a fresh new face and I am so happy to hear it. READ THE GOOD NEWS RIGHT HERE! This is so important for the traditionalist..the "sappy" sports fan. Most importantly it is good news for so many of us out there that have looked to sports for life's little lessons and for those of us who have kids that are right in the midst of realizing the splendor and rewards of America's games.
HEY! Thank you America Matters readers. Our readership has grown tremendously! We are stunned by the email we have received! Please feel free to send an email to our address in the header or email me "LT" at armytuff@hotmail.com with your comments or suggestions. We are always happy to hear from you and we will respond promptly.......... You're the best! Thx LT

Hey guys, just doing a drive-by as life is getting in the way of innertube cruisings.
JD Johannes documentary on Iraq, 'Outside the Wire', has been released. He needs to sell 2900 copies to surpass that pile of phlegm 'Redacted'.
Trailer can be seen here -
http://outsidethewire.com/documentary-series/about/extended-trailer.html
You can order it there too. I know I will be helping him out seeing as the democrat sock puppets called the lamestream media will never show anything positive about this mission.
Pro-troop, pro-victory!
Also, not sure if you have been following the broohaha over the short film Geert Wilders made about islam. The Netherlands and much of Europe have a huge problem with their unassimilating immigrants...many of whom are muslim.
Mr. Wilders wants the koran banned as much in it has a violent and hate-filled message. So, he took the words of the koran and words and actions of muslims themselves, and put together a short film called, 'Fitna'.
Liveleak carried it for 24 hours, then took it off due to death threats by members of the religion of perpetual outrage.
It is now back up at liveleak. You can view 'Fitna' here at hotair.com along with what anyone who criticizes is up against.

If you haven't seen the documentary 'Obsession', I highly recommend you buying a copy - watch the 12 minute trailer.
