A TRUE AMERICAN HERO
On April 8, 2008, Navy Seal Michael Monsoor was posthumously honored by receiving the Congressional Medal Of Honor by President Bush. Her are his parents receiving his honor. You can read about the short life and the unflinching bravery of Michael right here: http://michellemalkin.com/2008/04/08/in-honor-of-michael-monsoor/
His heroic efforts in Iraq were credited with saving the lives of 15 of his fellow soldiers, a show of courage few of us will probably ever know. He IS trully an American hero.........a hero in the truest sense of the word. He exemplifies what a hero should be, what a hero should do, how a hero should act.
The Congressional Medal of Honor is our nation's highest military honor. 3,446 brave souls have had the honor of being called "Hero" by this great nation. http://www.cmohs.org/ The website is a virtual history of it's origins, honors and recipients. These are our country's REAL heroes. I'll take a room full of Michael Monsoors over a room full of Sean Penns any day of the week.
Let us all take a moment to pay credit where credit is due. Michael Monsoor.............Trully an American Hero we can all be proud of.
As we are all Americans, we should be proud to call him one of our own, one of our finest, one of our best. Thank God there are still heroes left in this world.
