We Need The Greatest Generation...
There is a reason why they are known as the "Greatest Generation". There is a reason why so many of us that are children and grandchildren and great children of this generation uphold traditions and beleifs and our heritage. It is the spirit of America passed along to us by those who took great pride in their cause and their fathers before them in the first "Great War". War is not something that any of us want or hope for, but it is a fact of life. This harsh fact of life was tackled and met face to face by America from 1941-1945. We all have stories that our fathers and mothers and grandfathers and grandmothers have told us. This generation got results. Our entire country had been through the greatest loss and most devastating war man has ever seen. Yet through this great war and through this great era, we have grown and have become stronger. The entire world has benefited because of the sacrifices made by soldiers and families of WWII. Sacrifices through our young men going off to war, sacrifices at home through rationing and budgets. Yet all Americans were on the same page. We had the same goals and initiative. We knew the cost. We knew what lay before us. Rock solid beleifs, know how, and American strength were renewed in the Greatest Generation like never seen since the American Revolution itself. We were scared but determined. We did what we knew was right.
Now? We have Presidential candidates speaking against the very fiber of our country's being. We are blindfully pushing aside that which has made us strong. Much of this done out of ignorance for some, and much of this out of hatred for the very road paved by the brave men and women who made this country what it is today. America's politicians are moving us backwards
Obama says...That we cling to our guns and religions out of frustration.......... Obama has a lot to learn. He has no clue of our origin and our heritage......
We need The Greatest Generation......Common sense and strength.

The real America we all know and love is alive and well. It was passed down from the Greatest Generation and that passing down of beliefs and way of life is right and the right way of living..... Nothing can take it away from us.
Don't let the baffoons in media and politics make you think any different. We control them both.

Lt. ,No where are your observations more apparent than in "fly over " , "Gods" country. There is however, a moral decadence in some of our urban areas mainly due, in my opinion, to an ever increasing influx of illegals. If we dont stop this flood of welfare drainers we are destined to become a nanny state . That IS something that some pols want if for no other reason "they " can control and shape the political thinking or lack there of of the sheeple.
My uncle served in the Navy during WW11 as a CEE BEE and he was also on Guadacanal during much of his service. My father was the owner of a machine shop and made parts for the war effort. Both did what was needed for the survival of our country and for todays generation to be able to blissfully go about their daily routine.
The world owes a debt to the "Greatest" generation that can never be repaid. Thanks for your timely and insightful article....
