Mozart Kickin' It In Saudi Arabia
Seems our Islamic "friends" in Saudi Arabia are starting to break down social barriers with the rockin' sounds of Wolfgang. Not only is my man Amadeus bringing his hardcore western flare to the uncharted lands of Saudi Arabia, he has also been so influential with his groundbreaking music that the "Kingdom" is actually letting men and women attend the concert together! I had heard that Brahms and Juon were opening up for Mozart, that is one hell of a billing, although Brahms is questionable because of his unpredictable nature and well known addictions..... I wonder if MTV will be there or at least VH1 "Behind The Scenes"?........ I would have thought the Saudi's would've taken to someone less outlandish and controversial like Zamfir and his pan flute?
Oh alright I guess I am being a bit fecitious and sarcastic?... Yeah I am....
I suppose this is a break through for some. It is a break through for the media,a big show for the rich, and of course the politicians. I don't think however that this is going to keep the Saudi authorities from beating, jailing, and killing women for sitting at the same table as a male or riding in the same car as a male. Oh and need I mention the little small things like breeding those that fly planes into our buildings and kill us? I mean I realize how deep your strict upbringing is and the notion of western music and its culture is frightening but please Saudi's please pay attention to those less meaningful and trivial things like raising terrorists? Yeah that would be good....
I wonder if the Saudi's really know about Wolfgang? Oh boy.... He puts the Stones to shame. This could get edgy over there....
