Troops Enter Sadr City

Success. That is word that is hard for some to swallow for some folks these days....and very easy to ignore. Ten thousand troops marched into the Mahdi army stronghold of Sadr City today. A place riddled with violence and devastation of a suffering people. A people that have not experienced the productivity and revitalization that most of Iraq has experienced. The move into Sadr City was brought by a "truce" between the Iraqi government and anti-U.S. clerics. (Al-Sadr) Read The Full Story Here. Al Sadr has called a cease fires, and truces throughout our stay in Iraq. What the media does not tell you is that the Iraqi military (with U.S. backing) is being let into to the city, because the city is in shambles....Much worse than before. Running water, food, services, you name it, little or none. Once again these people suffer at the whims of radicals, it's an ongoing reoccuring theme. Trained and ready Iraqi troops are making the strongest move against these terrorists since the beginning of the war and against those same terrorists that are now opening the door. This ought to tell one something.....Success is here and it is certain. Once in Sadr City and strides are made? Things will change for the Iraqi people and the growing confidence of the Iraqi military will be set in stone.
What a grand show of fortitude and will power on the part of our troops and the Iraqis... It all flies in the face of the lies and venom and all the obstacles laid before them by the media and propagandists from the enemy and our own.
By the way did you read toward the end of the article about the fighting near Mosul and the attack on the Iraq police recruits????

Or what of the traitor and false accuser in Jack Murtha? What of his lies spoke so freely on his big old soldier soapbox? Nope, not even Clinton or Obama want them to rear their ugly heads at this point. Funny how elections change things isn't it?

These people and those like them are so wrapped up in hatred toward Bush and anything or anyone that resembles Bush and his beliefs, that they are so blind as not to give our troops publicly and forcefully one ounce of freakin' credit! Murtha will not apologize and is in virtual media hiding and San Fran Nan is as worthless now as the day she became Speaker.
Things certainly run in an odd full circle in media and in some folks' mindset don't they? Since the surge began all is quiet with many like the two mentioned above. Success for our country hurts them in a weird and twisted way. What other conclusion can I draw? Except for an occasional outburst here and there from them? They are not the monster lib powerhouses they used to be, or that they thought there were . Are they the leftist stooges of the Democratic party? I am truly starting to think so. It's like "Hey Nan & Jack? I think Harry is in their already guys but eh...just go. You go in first. It's dark in there I know. We'll be right in after you."
