The BBQ Grill Matters......

Hello America Matters, just thought I'd drop a line and wish you a great weekend. It's a perfect day here in the middle of America. A great day to take a breather and do some grilling with family. I tried to think of something different to grill today. I thought of sword fish steaks, salmon steaks, something foofy like that?...Yet I always resort back to a St. Louis favorite and that is the fool proof and always reliable good old
Pork Steak.  I have debated on the methods with friends on how to cook these treasures. My way? Season to taste and grill in foil. Make sure your briquets are all a white ash color (this guarantees the charcoal lighter has burned off, and that temperature is equal throughout your grill)  After they are cooked and tender, put the steaks in a tin or pan and cook in your fave BBQ sauce. You can't go wrong. Slow cooking also guarantees more time to drink your favorite beverage and listen to your "grilling music". For those readers outside of the midwest region? Make sure you butcher understands what a "PorkSteak" is and not to let them hand you pork "chops" there is a big difference.

Anyway...Happy grilling and I hope your beer is chilling!

One of my heroes, Ward Cleaver, kind of sums up the wisdom and rules of grilling and cooking at home in this clip.... I think Ward Cleaver is brilliant! So let's get to grilling......With out the "asbestos" gloves of course.
