I'M BACK.........AND VARIOUS RAMBLINGS

Like the good General said as he exited the Phillipines back in WW II, "I shall return." And I have. It's damn good to be back in the saddle my friends. Had some issues to attend to; a struggling business and no computer. All I have to say to our liberal friends is......"let us drill in ANWR." Long term solutions are nice but please, for the sake of truckers and their associated businesses everywhere, let's drill now!
What have I missed while I've been away? LT has kept the home fires burning rather nicely. Let's see......Obama gets the presumptive nod as your democratic nominee for President. How nice. And now he is playing the great absolver. Please all you Hillary donors, absolve her of all of her campaign debts please, forgive us our monetary sins. Fiscal responsibility Mr. Obama, isn't that what you've been preaching to us? Nice job. Talk about bailing out the Robber-Barons. Jeez, how absurd. I say............"Pay up b***h."
Tim Russert passed away rather suddenly. Too bad, he was one of the good ones when it came to television journalism. He always had his act together. Left, right or down the middle, you could not hide from Tim. RIP, you will be missed and you have set the bar rather high for your heir. Let's hope, for the good of us all, that it's not Keith Olberman.
I did read an article about a month ago where Rodney King was arrested (again). We all remember Rodney, got his rear-end pummelled back in '91 by some of LA's finest. Of course, Rodney was an "innocent" man, just minding his own business, he didn't deserve any of that. Right..........he's kept his nose real clean for the last 17 years hasn't he? Just a fine, upstanding citizen he is. I'm just so glad the bleeding hearts fell all over themselves with this clown. The cops didn't beat him long enough in my estimation, could have saved the taxpayers of California a lot of money with this idiot.
I would be remiss not to mention the 64th Anniversary of D-Day, the invasion and battle that helped turn the tide of WWII. June 6, 1944, a date that we ALL should hold in great reverence.
General Wesley Clark made news again, attacking John McCain over his qualifications to be President. I guess John didn't learn much about perseverence, courage and self-sacrifice while he was being beaten senseless by the North Vietnamese? Noooooooooo.....those are qualities we DON'T want in a President right Wesley? Go back to your hole Mr. Clark and pander to someone who actually gives a s**t about what you have to say. Hey, didn't he get fired from his previous employer?
Looks like old Kim is starting to play "nice", he's no longer part of the Axis. I'm sure his citizens are thrilled with that news, as they rummage through the garbage piles looking for their next meal. That guy is a joke, should have been taken out years ago.
Happy Independance Day everyone and I'll make sure I'm in touch more often. I should be now that the wallet is about $1,000 lighter. But, hey, the Japanese really know how to make electronic equipment.
Thanks....just a thought...............CG

Wow CG my bretheren! Actually I think it was the day after the first Space Shuttle launching that we have heard from you here....All good none the less CG.. God Bless you and yours...
Thx
LT
I don't believe Kim is starting to 'play nice'. Wasn't the thing he blew up, non-active anyway? Smoke and mirrors. He, like Chavez, and especially Mugabe should have intentionally met up with a 'stray' bullet a lonnnng time ago.
Heh. And welcome back CG.
Due to my schedule I rarely get to listen to Allman and Crane in the morning anymore.
But, the other day I did get to tune in for a few minutes to hear Jamie talking about the lib 'Steve' he exchanges emails with. How he is pleased that Obama is 'moving right' as the election draws near and how Steve must be pissed because of it.
Seriously. Does he really think Obama is moving right or intended to do so all along? Obama is a cheesier version of Clinton and more dangerous in his ignorance and inexperience of everything. He has made so many gaffes that illustrate his stupidity but the media ignores them. BTW, have you heard his response to Iran's launching missiles, one that can reach Israel? Geez..
If anyone here corresponds with Jamie, send him this column by Thomas Sowell -

..."What is becoming ever more painfully apparent is that too many people this year-- whether conservative, liberals or whatever-- are all too willing to judge Barack Obama on the basis of his election-year rhetoric, rather than on the record of what he has advocated and done during the past two decades.
Many are for him for no more serious reasons than his mouth and his complexion. The man has become a Rorschach test for the feelings and hopes, not only of those on the left, but also for some on the right as well.
Here is a man who has consistently aided and abetted people who have openly expressed their contempt for this country, both in words and in such deeds as planting bombs to advance their left-wing agenda.
Despite the spin that judging Obama by what was said or done by such people would be "guilt by association," he has not just associated with such people. He has in some cases donated some serious money of his own and even more of the taxpayers' money, as both a state senator in Illinois and a member of the Senate of the United States.
Barack Obama is on record as favoring the kinds of justices who make policy, not just carry out laws. No matter how he may "refine" his position on this issue, he voted against the confirmation of Chief Justice John Roberts, who was easily confirmed by more than three-quarters of the Senators.
Like people on the far left for literally centuries, Barack Obama plays down the dangers to the nation, and calls talk about such dangers "the politics of fear."
Back in the 18th century, Helvetius said, "When I speak I put on a mask. When I act, I am forced to take it off." Too many voters still have not learned that lesson. They need to look at the track record of Obama's actions.
Back in the days of "The Lone Ranger" program, someone would ask, "Who is that masked man?" People need to start asking that question about Barack Obama."
Okay, I fell into the hopper. Can someone lower a rope and pull me out?
NEVERMIND. Dang computers.
