Palin & Biden VP Debate St.Louis Mo.
I've been away for a few days sorry about that, but busy at work and home as I'm sure you can understand. It's no big secret about tomorrow's big Vice Presidential Debate coming up right in the great town in which I work and play, St. Louis Mo. You can imagine the big buzz going on here locally. This more than likely going to be the highest rated VP debate in television history and I would bet will probably rival or surpass ratings from many Presidential debates from the past.
This showdown and it's build up between Sarah Palin and Joe Biden has created more press, media non-stories made into stories, than I can remember. Sarah Palin has been slammed by the media for virtually every personal aspect of her life that you can imagine. Her daughter's pregnancy, her religion, even her own motherhood has been questioned in the birth of her son Trig who has Down's Syndrome.
The media has done everything they could have to make Sarah Palin look stupid and like trailer trash. Even Tina Fey's SNL impersonation was made out to be some sort award winning performance. EVERYTHING blown up and out of proportion to serve a purpose. To make Palin look like a dumb ass.
Granted, I have watched Palin's interviews with Charles Gibson and Katie Couric..... I cringed at some of her answers. Couric happened to ask Palin about McCain's regulatory votes and moves toward reform... This is when we got Palin's "Well, I'll find out and get back with ya." comment that is now all over the net and airwaves. It was a stupid answer no doubt..... but we might ask ourselves... Do you think that Barack Obama could answer that question Couric threw at Palin in regards to Biden's voting record? John McCain has 26 years in government. That is a lot of votes and viewpoints. Joe Biden has 35 years in government service and that is even more documented votes to mull through...Do you think Obama could have answered the same question about Biden's record? I think not. Obama however probably would have danced around the question more tactfully.
Regardless, I have been low key and reserved when it comes to Sarah Palin, she has been pretty brazen with her comments this week and one can only hope she can back it up. Joe Biden is a goof but he is not a dummy.. John McCain did well in the Presidential debate but on the campaign trail has been less than intimidating and aggressive in his approach. The McCain campaign has somehow ended up with Palin in the forefront. This could be a move brilliance or the kiss of death for his campaign. We will find out tomorrow night....
America Matters' friend Jamie Allman of 97.1 FM Talk will have John McCain on his show tomorrow morning. (6-9am) He will also be broadcasting live from the debate from 7-8pm and Denys "The Queen" Schaefer will be live at Chaifetz Arena at a post debate Palin rally. Dana Loesch of The Dana Show will be on the Palin press bus...So you you might want to listen tomorrow and stream the coverage and get the local flavor and the news from the debates right here in St. Louis.
Whatever the outcome it's a great time to be an American.
